Tiki, or heitiki, is the name of a traditional Polynesian ornament. The symbology of tiki has been much debated. It is thought by some to represent fertility, by others a talisman against evil. Originally crafted in jade, in recent times it has also been crafted in bone. Usually worn as a pendant.
